Every student who plans to study or train in Australia for a period longer than three months must apply for a student visa. The tourist visa or working vacation visa will be considered for study programmes that last less than three months. Australian DIAC will be in charge of issuing visas (Department of Immigration and Citizenship). It will only be given out if your study programme is either a full-time registered course or a portion of a registered course, both of which are provided by the Australian government for international students.
Australian student visas are now easier to get thanks to the adoption of the e-visa system through recognised education brokers. There are thirteen education brokers in India that handle the computerised processing of student visas and supply a student’s
Indian students are receiving a growing number of student visas each year. In the academic year 1994–1995, Australia granted 270 student visas to Indian nationals. By 2007, that number had increased to 97,035 and was projected to reach one million student visas year by 2025.
The application for admission to a university is the first step in the Australian student visa process. Following that, you would receive an offer letter that would serve as the basis for completing the Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) procedure. Waiting to receive an eCoE until you get advice from the institution is always a good idea. They offer details on how to apply and what paperwork needs to be included with the application. You must pay the tuition and other expenses to complete the process (Overseas Student Health Cover and application fee, if any).
You must submit your application for an Australian student visa electronically through authorised Education brokers in accordance with the new process. Read the form-1025i’s information in its entirety (Making Processing Visa Applications). Each applicant must meet the requirements for receiving a student visa, including having the means to support themselves and the will to abide by the terms of the visa. For each subclass of visa, one of the five assessment levels will be used to evaluate each application.
Students from non-English speaking nations must take the IELTS or TOEFL exam to demonstrate their proficiency in the language. Beginning on April 26, 2008, students with visas are also permitted to work without a special authorization. This is relevant to both the students and any accompanying family members. The holders of student visas will save time and money thanks to this new arrangement.
The DIAC issues an eCoE to students as proof that their admission to the university has been approved. For the processing of a visa application or an extension, this certificate is necessary. Students must complete a Pre-Visa Assessment (PVA) based on their nationality and primary course of study prior to the granting of an eCoE. Students must enrol in an Australian university or institution and obtain an eCoE in order to be eligible for a student visa. The eCoE form contains the essential data that students need to be aware of, such as the course start and end dates and other codes utilised by the DIAC. eCoEs are often issued following the university’s receipt of the student’s tuition payment. Your eCoE must be copied.
The laws of the Commonwealth of Australia shall be applied to students who are travelling to Australia for educational purposes. The rules established by the host university must be rigorously followed by the students. Every student seeking for an Australian student visa must adhere to a number of fundamental requirements set forth by the Australian government. Some of them are as follows:
You can apply for a student visa after getting the eCoE from the educational institution. The DIAC advises students to submit their visa application as soon as they obtain their eCOE in order to give it priority. Before submitting their visa application, students must confirm that they have met the English language criteria. Three distinct methods will be used to submit student visa applications.
Visit the appropriate official Australian visa webpage. Either a credit card or the Bpay option can be used to pay the visa charge (It takes 7 days to process the payment). You can apply online and receive a bridging visa right away, allowing you to continue your studies in Australia while your application is being reviewed.
Following the online submission of your application, you will receive a decision about its approval within 7 working days. You will initially receive a letter or an email asking you to transmit any further documentation you might need to submit the application if there is any incomplete documentation.
Students must fill out Form-157A, prepare the necessary documentation, and travel to the closest VFS office. Form 157A is available for download. Fill out the application and hand it in to the officer along with all the necessary paperwork, such as the eCoE, academic transcripts, results of any medical exams, and other items from the checklist.
We solely use the E-Visa system at Airbow overseas Educationfor enrolled students.
You will be contacted if necessary to schedule an appointment. Within seven working days, a letter notifying you of the missing documents will be delivered to you. Most of the time, applications that have been filed and sent in by mail won’t require you to visit our office.
Students may also submit a postal application for an Australian visa. This is crucial for those who are unable to submit their applications online or in person at the office. This strategy will only ever be used in extremely uncommon circumstances. The following address is where students must send their application, the completed Form-157A, the fee, and their eCoE.
DIAC Client Services, Melbourne, 3001, GPO Box 241.
Only enrolled students at Airbow Overseas Education are eligible to use the E-Visa system.
One odd requirement when applying for a student visa is that family members of the applicant must be listed on the student’s original student visa application, even if they are not travelling to Australia with the student or have no plans to do so. The spouse (a person you are legally married to or a person of the opposite sex with whom you have lived in an exclusive relationship for more than 12 months) and the student’s children who are under 18 and have never been married are considered to be members of the student family by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC).
