Permanent Residency

Australia PR

After completing their studies in Australia, students may want to apply for Permanent Residence (PR), which is a desirable option. Similar to the Green Card in the USA, Permanent Residency (PR) in Australia allows a person to maintain their nationality while living and working there.

Along with offering a top-notch educational opportunity, Australia may allow you to apply for a Skilled Permanent Residency Visa under the Graduate Overseas Student Subclass once you have finished a registered course of two years of study there. You will be granted permanent resident status as a result, giving you full employment rights in Australia.

You can earn additional points in the 120-point Skilled Visa Points test because of your Australian credentials.

It is noteworthy to notice that some regions of Australia are “special,” even though the Australian government bases the grant of PR on the Points System. In other words, a student will receive an additional 5 points for PR purposes if they complete their study in such fields.

Most importantly, if you complete two years of full-time study in Australia to earn an Australian Bachelor’s degree or higher, you may be eligible to be nominated for a 60-point occupation from the Skilled Occupations List (SOL), which would allow you to stay in Australia after completing your course and submit a skilled visa application.

Please be aware that you have six months after receiving your qualification to obtain the results of your skills assessment and submit your immigration application. You will be given a discount because you are an on-shore international student and don’t have any recent work experience. You will not be required to have recent work experience if you meet the standards for your specified occupation and pass a favourable skills assessment. This may make it much simpler to obtain a skilled visa.

You can apply for a Graduate Skilled Temporary Visa to maintain your legal status if the processing of your skills assessment is expected to take longer than your student visa’s expiration date.

Concerning Permanent Residence

Similar to the Green Card in the USA, Permanent Residence (PR) in Australia allows a person to maintain their nationality while living and working there. International students may apply for Australia PR after completing their two years of academic study there. If not, one must successfully complete the course and the occupation category over a period of two years in order to receive 120 points (increased from the previous 60 points), which is required to meet the qualifying requirements for Permanent Residency. Australia’s government announced in the middle of 1999 that graduates from its universities or business colleges are eligible for citizenship.

How to Get Australian Work Permit

Similar to the Green Card in the USA, Permanent Residence (PR) in Australia allows a person to maintain their nationality while living and working there. International students may apply for Australia PR after completing their two years of academic study there. If not, one must successfully complete the course and the occupation category over a period of two years in order to receive 120 points (increased from the previous 60 points), which is required to meet the qualifying requirements for Permanent Residency. Australia’s government announced in the middle of 1999 that graduates from its universities or business colleges are eligible for citizenship.

You must submit a work visa application in order to remain in Australia once your studies are finished. Depending on the applicant’s qualifications and talents, their job, and even their country of origin, there are many options for obtaining a work permit in Australia. It is usually advised to get in touch with DIAC or any licenced immigration agent in such circumstances.

Apply for a permanent or provisional GSM visa before to January 1, 2013, and either had a subclass 485 (Skilled Graduate) visa or had applied for a subclass 485 (Skilled Graduate) visa.

MODL points will be awarded to students who are nominated for any of the specialised jobs listed above. The Australian Computer Society (ACS) takes into account these factors while evaluating the candidates’ abilities to meet the standards set by the evaluating body.
